JANUARY

Those first couple months feel like such a blur. That I'm going back and trying to fill in the blanks. Those days went by so quickly and it was hard to get any writing in because his naps were so short and so often.

I was still trying to figure out how to take pictures from my wheelchair so my photography skills are slowly improving, but getting the right angle is hard. The hours just flew by early on and our schedule was all over the place.

It really gets better every month. I've been writing milestones down in his Promptly Journal, but what if I lose it. So I'm trying to write a few memories down in here without feeling like I'm repeating myself and doing too many things.

Cooper is starting to warm back up to the idea of a baby. At first he was so excited and then he was bored and now he's somewhat interested again.

We took Will on his first cross country skiing and hiking adventure up Green Canyon. It was a cloudy and dark first adventure and not really the crisp air I was hoping for. But Cooper loves getting to run free and play with other Goldendoodles along the trail. Seeing Cooper so free and happy just warms my soul. Also William's snow suit is just the BEST!

He has grown SO MUCH and his head is huge.

This month he's really started to interact and has started smiling. I wasn't very good at capturing them the first few weeks.

This month was kind of tricky because I just never knew when he needed to sleep. So of course right when I was trying to take pictures he was sleepy and then I never tried to take anymore. I was still getting the hang of our schedule. He really was a good sport considering how tired he looked in all the photos. It amazing the difference a few minutes can make.

Trevor had his first out of town business trip and so my mom came out and stayed with me. Really just another excuse for grandma snuggles.

As the month went on Will's smiles only got better and better. Also I lived in workout clothes because I never knew when I was going to get the chance to workout while he napped. My biggest regret was just not assigning a time in morning or night for Trevor to watch and I workout.

It was nice having my mom around for a few days to run errands with. I knew that I could do it on my own, it's just nice when you have help regardless of your abilities.

DADDY'S BACK

With giving birth in November it was perfect timing to Start back cross-country skiing 1.5 months later. Surprisingly my core came back pretty strong. I couldn't do abdominal exercises, but I could ski. And Will would just take a snuggly nap on Trevor while out supporting me at my races, hence why he is always asleep in the pictures when we'd take him out of the carrier.

More weekend snow adventures up Green Canyon before Sunday dinner with Trevor's family. Cooper met some more friends on the trail and loves getting to run free.

Grandpa was out in the wild wild west for some business so he stopped over for 24 hours. Will had just been starting to give the smiles with eye contact.

This is what we look like on the daily. It's been a surprisingly warm winter and very little snow so we've been going on daily walks in our beanies, to play with Cooper. I made a goal to get outside every day & thank goodness for this mild winter to make that possible.

Oh how I love my little Boo Bear in his fuzzy Boo Bear outfit.

Cooper is still always within 3 feet of William and hilariously crawls out from under his swing, while it's moving.

The weather this month has been incredible. I've just been wear William on me and putting a hat and boots on to go play with Cooper outside & out body heat keeps us plenty warm and snuggled in.

My favorite view💙

This one is blurry, but there's no denying his laugh in this picture.
